Electrified BP96-00224J / BP96-00224E / BP96-00224C Replacement Lamp with Housing for Samsung TVs
Easy! Remove one screw on the back of television and then remove the panel. 
I would recommend that you then utilize a vacuum cleaner to remove any dust builtup within this interior compartment. 
Loosen the two screws which then will stay within the lamp-housing base. 
Using the handle that is built into the base pull it out and remove. 
Slide in replacement lamp without touching any part of the actual lamp or lens and tighten the two screws which come in base of the new lamp-housing. 
Replace cover, reinstall and tighten screw. 
It was literally that simple. 

However, there is more to the story. Our lamp went out on day before Christmas 2010. I placed order around noon time on the Pacific Coast. During the winter storm the company, Electrified Discounters Inc, on the East Coast in Bethelhem, PA still was able to get the replacement bulb shipped out before going home for the holiday and blizzard.

Additional note, the bulb model BP96-00224C is now replaced with the BP96-00224J. 
I also noticed that a customer somewhere made a comment that the newer model was harder to install. I noticed that when you begin to slide the bulb in there is a slight amount of resistance on the left hand side but this is only from the rubber gasket within the television housing which is a good thing as it keeps dust out of the projection area of the televsion.
