Vivitek D510 2600 Lumen SVGA HDMI 120Hz 3D-Ready Portable DLP Projector (White)
I did a ton of research on projectors before I found this one. I wanted one to watch movies, play xbox, and watch tv. This projector was way better than I thought it would be. I watch Netflix through my computer using HDMI. I then hook up computer speakers to my computer because the projector does not have any output for sound. This set up it AWESOME. Not perfect, but outstanding for the money I paid. We have it set up about 20 feet away from the wall and on Widescreen mode the picture is about 92" (we measured the picture but I'm only estimating the throw distance). At that distance, you can see the pixels only if you are trying to look for them.
We also bought an EyeTV hookup ($150) which enables us to watch HDTV cable on the laptop. I run the cable to the laptop and then hook up the laptop to the projector and presto...A 92" HD TV for about $500. Can't beat it. Watched the superbowl on it, it was very cool.
For xbox, I use the Red, white, yellow connection...the picture is still pretty good. and again, this is a huge picture. I'm sure if I moved the projector closer to the wall, pixels would be less noticable
Picture brightness is very good as well. During the day with the blinds drawn you can still see everything great. At night in total darkness its unbelievable
Overall, GREAT BUY. If you are looking for a good projector for a small price get this one.
