Toshiba BDX1100 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player (Black)
Last year my son bought me a Sony Blu-Ray player which I set up on my downstairs Sony system. However, the BW ( beautiful wife ) doesn't always share my movie taste so I needed another Blu- Ray for the upstairs. Didn't want to pay a whole lot for another player as the movies themselves are so expensive, and along comes this Toshiba at a very reasonable cost. I was surprised to get it so fast as Amazon had listed it as not ready until January 16 but it arrived in less than a week after ordering. Setup was ridiculously easy -- it took less than 10 minutes including unpacking and installing the remote's batteries. The on-screen menu is easy to follow and I was testing a movie in a short time. The remote works fine -- buttons are clearly marked and response is quick. I don't feel the need to connect it to the Internet so I can't speak to that feature but so far ( only 1 day, granted )I'm very pleased with a budget-priced player that's perfect for my needs.
If anything crops up I'll revisit this review, but in my humble opinion this is a fine product. Especially at less than 80 bucks.
