To clarify something another reviewer has posted, the difference in price between the OPPO BDP-95 $999 price from OPPO direct (or other sources) and this listing on Amazon for $1,499 is doubtless attributable to the fact that the player offered in this Amazon listing has been modified (by someone, perhaps the seller) to be 'region-free' and thus to have the capability to play DVDs with any region code from anywhere in the world, and also to play blu-ray discs with region codes of either A or B (it's unclear to me whether the listed player would play a region C coded blu-ray disc).
