Projector came well boxed in a timely manner. Not a plug and play. Nothing explicitly tells you that you will need cables to hook up to a tv or a computer. Comes with a 6" cable to attach to a disk player... if you intended to sit it on a disk player, then you're, done. If you wish to run it from your laptop, you'll need a cable. I like this one, Cables Unlimited PCM-2240-15 SVGA Cable With 3.5mm Male to Male Audio. Note as others have, the speakers on the projector can not be heard well at all, I am working on adding speakers to it. Projector is bright, projects very well, blacks are not super black, but for non-theater like people, it's okay. Buy the projector, buy cables at the same time. It seams well made. I use it for class room lectures and some home use, root beer slide show parties, it's fine. Enjoy it.
