I bought this product because it works in the UK. I buy DVDs from the US because they are cheaper than in the UK and DVDs of series, e.g. Law and Order, are available in the US before they are in the UK. It was much easier (and cheaper)to buy this than have a DVD player in the UK converted to multi-region.
It is a fantastic little player and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want anything particularly sophisticated.
